Tether Blocks Six Ethereum and One TRON Wallets

Tether recently restricted access to six new Ethereum network wallets, likely due to connections with the Russian Finiko ponzi scheme. ChainArgos, a blockchain analytics company, suggests these wallets may have conducted dubious transactions with addresses linked to Finiko, though no other notable suspect activities were detected from these wallets.



Finiko, a pyramid scheme that originated in Russia in 2018, caused losses of approximately $95 million to its victims. Last year, the scheme's leader, Edvard Sabirov, was apprehended by Interpol in the UAE, but other key participants remain at large.



Additionally, Tether blocked a wallet on the TRON network, but no suspicious activities were linked to it. This wallet's only major transaction was a transfer of $7,000 USDT from Bitfinex. Tether has been vigilantly tracking wallets
