Bitcoin Edges to $63,000 as Miner Selling Pressure Eases

Image
Bitcoin's (BTC) recent bearish trend appears to have subsided, driven by a notable reduction in miner selling pressure. Over the past 24 hours, BTC has risen by 2.2%, trading near the $63,000 mark. The cryptocurrency’s market capitalization stands at $1.24 trillion, with daily trading volume surging 57% to $21 billion. Data from CryptoQuant reveals a significant decrease in BTC miner selling pressure, dropping from a peak of 14,000 BTC in May to below 1,000 as July begins. This decline indicates a stabilization in the market, with analysts noting: "Miners’ selling pressure has decreased significantly, and their selling volume is being digested quickly." According to Santiment, the BTC supply held by miners has reduced from 1.83 million to 1.8 million over the past 30 days. This shift suggests that the retail accumulation pha Read more: cryptonews #Bitcoin, #Blockchain, #BtcMiner, #Cryptocurrency, #Cryptomarket, #Cryptonewstoday, #Miner, #News, #Regulations

Ethereum Gas Fees Plummet to Historic Lows: Can the Network Broaden Its Appeal?

Image
Ethereum (ETH) has recorded its lowest average gas fees since November 2016. According to Dune Analytics data, on June 30, the average gas fee dropped to just 3 Gwei, equivalent to $0.14. Notably, nine of the ten cheapest hours for gas fees occurred last week. Gas fees are essential to the Ethereum network. They cover the costs of various operations and ensure the network’s security by incentivizing validators. These fees also act as a deterrent against spam attacks. Analysts have attributed the significant drop in fees to improved efficiency in the layer-1 (L1) market. The efficiency is driven by a combination of increased layer-2 (L2) volume and the introduction of “blob transactions” through EIP-4844, which has enhanced Ethereum’s scalability. Historical Context A year ago, median gas prices ranged between 15 to 20 Gwei, Read more: Coinatory cryptocurrencies news #Cryptocurrency, #Cryptomarket, #Cryptonewstoday, #Ethereum, #GAS, #News, #Regulations
