Rarimo and Polygon ID Join Forces



Rarimo, an interoperability protocol that facilitates communication between different blockchains, has teamed up with Polygon ID, a system for verifying identities. This partnership allows the verifiable credential infrastructure of Polygon ID to be utilized across multiple blockchains.



Before this collaboration, Polygon ID only allowed identity verification within the blockchain where the identities were originally created. For instance, if you had your ID on Polygon, you couldn't use it on Ethereum (ETH), necessitating the creation of a new ID for each blockchain. However, with this new partnership, IDs generated on Polygon (MATIC) can now be used on Ethereum, and other blockchains such as BNB Chain (BNB) and Avalanche (AVAX) are expected to join the list soon.
