Yuga Labs to wind back from OpenSea



Yuga Labs, the brains behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), are pulling back their support for OpenSea. This decision comes on the heels of OpenSea's announcement to discontinue the Operator Filter by the end of August. Introduced in November 2022, this tool allowed creators to limit secondary NFT sales only to marketplaces that respect and enforce creator royalties, effectively sidelining platforms like Blur.



OpenSea decided to phase out this feature due to various reasons including limited adoption across the ecosystem, the ability for platforms to sidestep the tool, and some opposition from creators.



Reacting to this move, Yuga Labs CEO Daniel Alegre took to Twitter, mentioning that they'll be scaling back on using OpenSea's Seaport marketplace smart contract. This statement was well-received by the BAYC community and other
