FTX, Trump, and the $5 Billion Dilemma: Inside the Controversial Offer



According to an interview, on CBS, Michael Lewis, the known author of books like "The Big Short" and "Flash Boys " mentioned that Sam Bankman Fried, the founder of the now closed cryptocurrency exchange FTX supposedly considered offering Donald Trump a staggering $5 billion to dissuade him from running for president.



Lewis stated that during his conversation with Bankman Fried they discussed this figure. He also mentioned that Bankman Fried was looking into the legality surrounding such a proposal. However when asked for comment on this matter Mark Botnick, a representative, for Bankman Fried opted not to respond.
