Ripple's Growth in Asia Pacific Solidified with Singapore License



Ripple's branch in Singapore just got the green light from the Monetary Authority of Singapore to operate as a major payments institution. This means they can continue offering their digital payment services in this rapidly expanding area. This is the second piece of upbeat news for Ripple in less than a day.



Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple's CEO, remarked how Singapore has emerged as a top player in fintech and digital assets. He applauded the country for striking the right balance between fostering innovation, ensuring consumer safety, and promoting responsible growth. He also highlighted that Singapore has been Ripple's base for their Asia Pacific operations for the past six years.



Though Ripple received initial approval in June, it's only now that its subsidiary, Ripple Markets APAC Pte Ltd, has clinched the formal license.
